The cult indie film, Scream Of The Bikini,
has won several awards in multiple film festivals. Ranging from
best comedy to best director , and including nominations for both
best original score and best soundtrack. These songs are the "1960's hits" that
populate the movie, enhancing its character and making it, in the
words of one critic, "very cool sounding". Where the movie is a delicious
parody of the femme-fatale, spy-thriller genre, the songs pay homage
to the fashionable music scene of the time. Royalties for actual
'60's hits were far beyond the budget of "Scream Of The Bikini",
and thus necessity was the mother of the beautiful, flower-children
inventions found in this soundtrack. |
